Lysosomal Storage Disorders (LSD’s) describe a group of heritable, heterogeneous disorders characterized by the accumulation of undigested macromolecules intralysosomally. This accumulation results in an increase in the size and number of lysosomes, resulting in cellular damage & dysfunction and clinical abnormalities.
